The Foundation is proud to announce that we have awarded $46,800 in scholarship grants to 16 exceptional students. All the awardees are currently pursuing degrees in San Diego & Imperial Counties and are either working, or plan to work, in the developmental disability field. Our scholarship committee spent two days interviewing the potential recipients.
Amongst the 16 awardees, there are a number of great colleges/universities represented, including: Arizona State University, Imperial Valley College, California State University, San Marcos, San Diego State University, University of Massachusetts, Global, and National University.
Each year we are amazed at the talent and dedication all the awardees have to their studies. We wish these awardees the best of luck in their studies in the coming year and look forward to seeing their contributions to the developmental disability field, and the impact they will have on this community.
*These scholarships are available through an endowment established in recognition of years of service and contributions in the field of developmental disabilities, child development, and prevention by Raymond M. Peterson, M.D., M.P.H.
