Sitara Sethi, CEO

 

Sitara provides overall direction on the strategic plan for the Foundation and is involved in it's day to day management. She brings over 20 years of experience leading non-profit program development and evaluation. Her impact at former organizations including Family Health Centers, Relief International and UCSD resulted in successful programs that not only raised awareness, but also directly improved lives.

 

Outside of work, Sitara enjoys sci-fi fiction novels and traveling the world – which of course includes simply exploring the beautiful communities of San Diego with her loving husband and two young boisterous boys.

Nickelina Noel, Development and Marketing Manager

 

Nickelina is a communications and digital marketing strategist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from Alfred University and Master of Arts degree in communication studies with a focus on qualitative and quantitative research methodology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Nickelina has years of experience spearheading projects for noteworthy organizations. With a penchant for crafting creative stories, she wields her unique skills and experience to propel brand affinity and support organizations in their mission. 

 

On her off time, Nickelina enjoys hikes, yoga, the movie-going experience, and exploring San Diego and beyond.

Josie Gomez, Administrative Support Specialist

 

Josie has over 19 years of experience working with adults with disabilities. Prior to joining the Foundation for Developmental Disabilities, she worked at The Arc of San Diego from 2001-2019 as the Administrative Assistant. During her time at The Arc of San Diego she provided administrative support to the Sulpizio Family Center and assisted the Arc’s City Chapter Advisory Board with numerous events. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, in order for them to become more independent, and achieve their life goals.

 

Josie is active in her community with the Lemon Grove Little League Baseball and the Lemon Grove Foursquare Church.  In her spare time, she spends time with her four grand kids and two dogs.
