We have granted $34,500 in scholarship grants to 15 exceptional students who are currently pursuing degrees in San Diego and Imperial Counties and are either working or plan to work in the developmental disability field. Our Scholarship Committee spent a whole day interviewing potential recipients and every year we are more amazed at the talent and dedication of these students.
This year we would like to also take a moment to thank one of our Board members, Maria Jimenez who donated an additional $1250 in memory of her daughter Laura who passed away late last year. Maria picked three recipients who along with their scholarship money will be receiving some additional money to help with their education.
